A Text box lets shoppers enter text that appears directly on the product preview. Use it for a name on a blanket, initials on a ring or a short line on a print.
You decide the position and typography. Where enabled and supported by your plan, you can also offer shoppers selected typography choices.
How to set it up
- Choose Add → Placement → Text box and set a clear Label, such as “Name on blanket”.
- Drag the placement to the intended area. Adjust its position, size and rotation in the inspector.
- Configure Typography for the intended result. Enable only the shopper choices you want to offer, where available.
- Use Preview text to test the appearance. Set Max characters, Required and Extra price as needed.
- Save and test the field in Preview with short and long entries.
Frequent uses
Use Text box for names, straight engraving text, initials and short messages. For text following a curve, choose Arc text. For a note to your fulfillment team that should not appear on the artwork, choose Comment.
A Switch and rule can make an engraving field optional.
Check before publishing
Preview text is only a design aid; shoppers do not receive it as a prefilled answer. Test the longest text you allow, including spaces and characters your customers use. Confirm the chosen font contains those characters.
Review the placement on every product and view that uses the template. Set a character limit your production area can accommodate rather than expecting every possible message to fit.
