A Design set is a collection of artwork supplied by you, the merchant. A Design property connects that collection to a placement on the product. The shopper chooses a design, and JUNO displays it in the position you configured.
A space-themed set, for example, could contain a moon, a planet and a rocket for a hoodie or children’s keepsake.
Create an artwork collection
- Open Design sets in JUNO and create a set.
- Use Add designs to choose artwork from your Shopify Files. Upload the artwork to Shopify Files first if needed.
- Give each design a clear name. Shoppers see these names, and the selected name is recorded with the order.
- In a template, add a Design placement and select the set under Design set.
- Position and size the placement on the product photo. Choose its Preview shape and, optionally, a Default design.
- Save and test each design in Preview.
See the Design property guide for defaults, shape and pricing behavior.
Reuse sets thoughtfully
The same set can serve several templates. Keep artwork together when it makes sense for shoppers to choose among it: botanical motifs, sports emblems, seasonal illustrations or a coordinated collection.
Design names are shared. Renaming a design in the editor changes its name wherever the set is used. Review dependent templates when changing the collection, especially if you remove a design or a whole set.
Use images with consistent proportions and margins where possible. A wide wordmark and a tall illustration can look very different inside the same placement. Preview each one at the size you intend to produce.
Design set, File upload or swatch?
- Design set + Design property: you supply artwork; shoppers choose from it; the selected artwork appears on the product.
- File upload: shoppers supply their own image, such as a family photo or a logo.
- Swatch palette + Image swatch: you supply a material sample that represents an option in a selector.
A store can offer both prepared designs and personal uploads. Use separate properties, and rules if shoppers should choose one route at a time.
