A Range slider lets shoppers choose a number by moving a slider. You define the minimum, maximum and increment in Bounds.

It is a Choice property. The selected number is not placed on the product, and the slider does not automatically resize artwork or calculate a price per unit.

How to set it up

  1. Choose Add → Choice → Range slider.
  2. Give it a label that explains the measurement or choice, including the unit where needed.
  3. Set Min, Max and Step. For example, 20 to 100 in steps of 5 offers 20, 25, 30 and so on.
  4. Review any Extra price. A slider always has a value, so the field’s extra price is charged once whenever it is shown.
  5. Save and Preview the endpoints and several intermediate values.

Frequent uses

Use a slider for a bounded preference or measurement that your fulfillment process can accept in regular increments. Explain precisely what is measured, such as the finished length in centimeters.

Use Number box when shoppers need to type an exact number, use decimals or place the number on the product. Use a linked list-based choice when the values are actual Shopify sizes or variants.

Check before publishing

Check that every allowed value is fulfillable and that the unit is clear. Choose a Step fine enough to be useful but not more precise than your production process.

A configured Extra price is a fixed fee. Setting a slider to 50 does not multiply that fee by 50 or change Shopify inventory.
