Product views connect a product photo to an angle and the Shopify options it represents. A view is a side or perspective, such as Front, Back or Inside. The option combination identifies the version of the product in that photo.
For example, Front + Blue + Merino wool can show the front of a blue merino blanket. When the shopper changes material, JUNO can show the matching photo you assigned.
Set up your photos
- Open Product views in JUNO and select a product.
- Choose the Shopify option under Photos change with, such as Color.
- If your photos depend on two options and your plan supports combination galleries, choose the second under Also by, such as Material.
- Create or select the views you need, such as Front and Back.
- Assign the correct Main photo to each view and option combination. Add Extra photos where additional angles or details will help, within your plan’s allowance.
- In the template editor, select the view each step should show. Preview the product and change its options to check the mapping.
The main photo is the surface you design on. Extra photos provide supporting views; they do not each become a separate placement layout. See Pricing for combination galleries and extra-photo limits.
Choose useful views
For apparel, show Front for chest artwork and Back for a second personalization area. For a ring, use an Inside view when positioning text inside the band. For a blanket, one clear Front view may be enough, with close-ups as extra photos.
Only map options that change what the product looks like. Size may not need separate photos if all sizes have the same appearance and framing. Color and material often do.
Keep the preview accurate
JUNO displays the photos you provide; it does not generate missing material or color combinations. Check every combination you sell instead of relying on a fallback photo to represent it accurately.
Keep the product at a consistent scale and position across photos used by the same template. Placements keep their saved layout when a photo changes, so inconsistent cropping can move the apparent printing area underneath the artwork.
Review mappings after replacing product images or changing option values in Shopify. Check any missing-photo or review notices in Product views.
Product views or swatch palettes?
Product views show the whole product in the chosen combination. Swatch palettes provide the small samples inside Image swatch controls. A leather wallet can use both: a close-up of green leather in the selector and a complete photo of the green wallet in the preview.
