A personalized order needs to tell you both what the shopper bought and what to make. JUNO sends the selected product variant and personalization details to Shopify, with files where the configuration requires them.
What arrives with an order
Open the order in Shopify admin and review the configured line item. Depending on the template, it can include:
- The selected product variant.
- The shopper’s text, choices, dates, numbers and order notes.
- A link to an uploaded image.
- The selected design and relevant personalization settings.
- A print-ready PNG for each configured print area.
Labels matter during fulfillment too. “Inside engraving” and “Back name” are easier to interpret than two properties both called “Text”. Use clear, distinct names before taking orders.
Prepare print areas and calibration
A product preview shows artwork over a photograph. A print file needs a defined output area and a physical scale.
Configure the print areas in the template and calibrate them to their real dimensions. JUNO renders calibrated print areas at 300 DPI. Check the physical dimensions and output file before using it in production; a 300 DPI export cannot restore detail that was missing from a low-resolution uploaded image.
Review placement alignment when reusing a template with different product photos. A correct configuration on the preview product does not guarantee that every other product was photographed at the same scale or angle.
Match the file to your production process
The output is a PNG image. Check it against your printer’s requirements for size, color handling and finishing. Prepare machine-specific formats separately when your workflow requires them, such as embroidery stitch files, vector cutting paths or engraving machine instructions.
A shopper’s Comment, and date, time or number fields with Show on product off, are order information rather than artwork in the print file. Tell your fulfillment team how to handle those notes.
Add links to emails and packing slips
JUNO’s Order print files settings provide snippets for showing print-file thumbnails and download links in Shopify notification templates and packing slips. Copy the relevant snippet into the corresponding Shopify template, then preview or test that output.
Run a fulfillment test
Before publishing a new template, place a test order with a realistic configuration. Include a longer name, a chosen design or uploaded image, and a paid extra if you offer one.
Open the order, follow the image and print-file links and produce a sample through your normal workflow. Confirm that someone fulfilling the order can understand the choices without reopening the personalizer.
For a missing or unexpected detail, check the property, its rules and the product assignment, then contact us with the product and template involved.
